Oct. 21, 2017 is surely a a moment that should be savored and enjoyed, for it marks the fifth anniversary of Hangzhou International Symposium of Oncology & ZJCH-MDACC Sister Hospital Joint Conference which hit a huge success. Symposium this year was chaired by Dr. Weimin Mao, President of ZJCH, Prof. TJ Liu, Project Director at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Yuankai Shi, Vice President of Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and also Dr. Ming Chen, Vice President of ZJCH.

Prof. Ming-chie Hung, Vice President for Basic Research also Chair and Professor at Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Prof. TJ Liu, Project Director of Office of Global Academic Programs and together with another 10 professors from MDACC attended this conference and delivered lectures on cutting-edge researches. In addition, Prof. Ulrich Keilholz, Professor and Acting Director at Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center, Germany and Prof. Dirk De Ruysscher from Maastricht University, Netherlands also shed their lights on tumor treatment and research at this symposium.

Domestic experts, like Prof. Qinghua Zhou, professor and Director Oncology Center, West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital, Prof. Wenqi Jiang, Professor & Director, Dept. of Medical Oncology, Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center, Prof. Jin Li, Professor & Dean , Department of Oncology, Tongji University Shanghai East Hospital were also on the speakers’ list.

In summary, 24 presentations have been delivered and among them, there were 5 mini-oral presentations given by talented clinicians and researchers from Zhejiang Cancer Hospital with number of attendees exceeding 300.
