During this golden autumn season, the 2020 Hangzhou International Symposium of Oncology was held in Hangzhou on October 17th, 2020. The symposium assembled renowned international and national scientists and provided with cutting edge research covering various fields of cancer study.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Dr. Ming Chen, Executive President of Cancer Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Zhejiang Cancer Hospital). Prof. Weihong Tan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences also the Symposium’s Chairman, delivered the welcome speech. Mr. Zhengfang Chen, the director of Division of Cooperation and Exchanges, Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, made the opening speech.

During the symposium, 18 experts shared pioneering research and best practices in treating patients with cancers. Then there were 6 mini oral presentation delivered by young scholars from Cancer Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Zhejiang Cancer Hospital). 

HISO since 2013 has been held for seven consecutive years. HISO this year combined online and offline format, garnered more than 7000 views.

This symposium themed cancer-precision-treatment serves as a platform for experts, from both home and abroad, to exchange academic points of views in terms of cancer care and research.
